Aerofoils GmbH, a spin-off of Audi AG, develops and markets the Audi e-tron foil, a surfboard that floats above the water. The Audi eFoil was the first E Foil with a jet drive. It came onto the market in 2022.

The jet propulsion of the Audi e-tron foil surfboard not only makes eFoiling safer, but the eFoil also reacts more gently when accelerating or decelerating than eFoils with propellers.
The great design makes it a real eye-catcher and it impresses with great features such as an 80 cm long carbon mast and a feature-rich remote control with a large color display.
Not only were we able to secure the first models in 2022, but we also visited the Aerofoils factory to take a closer look at the production of the eFoils. The following video was created for the E-SURFER Youtube channel:

There are currently five Aerofoils models:
We have all models in stock and you can also test them.

E-SURFER has a long history with the Aerofoils founders. We saw the first prototype in Las Vegas in 2018.
The founders Christian Rößler and Franz Hofmann have been working on an electric hydrofoil since 2017. While Christian has a technical background in aerodynamics, Franz, a kitesurfer, has been an engineer at Audi AG since 2016, working on alternative drive systems.
In 2019, Franz and Christian visited us for the first time in Berlin with a prototype. The following photo was taken.

The E-SURFER team will be happy to advise you on the various Aerofoils models and also explain the differences to other eFoil brands. We have various e-Foil brands in our range.
The Adventure and Performance models are priced at EUR 15,769 incl. 19% VAT. The Competition model is priced at EUR 16,499. Subject to change without notice.
The Aerofoils eFoil is not manufactured by Audi AG. However, it was designed by an Audi engineer who then motivated the marketing team to market it. The Audi e-tron foil is manufactured by Aerofoils GmbH from Bavaria. Audi is a partner and the managing director is still an employee of the group.
Yes. There's no eFoil-specific national law in the UK, and recreational eFoils need no national registration or licence — so your Aerofoils eFoil is legal to own and ride. What matters is local: coastal byelaws and harbour authorities regulate personal watercraft, while inland waters such as the Canal & River Trust (licence) or the River Thames (registration) set their own rules. Full overview here: eFoils in the UK: rules, licences & where to ride.
No. The UK has no national licence requirement for recreational eFoils — the rules are local and operator-based. Harbour authorities and byelaws govern the coast; some inland operators require a licence (Canal & River Trust) or registration (River Thames), and in Scotland motorboats need a Scottish Navigation Licence. Your Aerofoils eFoil needs no national licence.
The Aerofoils surfboard is a so-called eFoil. An eFoil floats - thanks to a mast under the surfboard to which a wing and motor is attached - about 80 cm above the water. The official name of the Aerefoils surfboard is Audi e-tron foil by Aerofoils.
The Audi e-tron foil reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h. The normal cruising speed is 25 km/h.
You can buy the boards in our shop in Berlin or in our online eFoil shop.
Between 60 and 120 minutes depending on battery size. The rider's weight and speed also affect the range.
